When the children no longer check in, it’s good to have a friend with whom to go to the pool or have lunch and help you get through the sweltering summer days. But when that friend fails you, life becomes all the more uncertain as you grow older and lonely under the rooftops of Paris. When your heart’s still beating and while you wait for the day you run out of strength, you can still choose to believe in love and encounters.
