Ely Dagher’s debut film THE SEA AHEAD selected in Directors’ Fortnight
After winning the Short Film Palme d’Or with Waves ’98 during the 2015 Festival de Cannes , Ely Dagher goes back to Cannes with his first feature film THE SEA AHEAD presented in Directors’ Fortnight. He tells the story of Jana (Manal Issa), who suddenly returns to her hometown of Beirut, Lebanon after a long time gone.
Jean-Gabriel Périot’s new documentary RETURNING TO REIMS to play in Directors’ Fortnight
For their second collaboration after OUR DEFEATS back in 2019, The Party Film Sales is proud to present Jean-Gabriel Périot’s follow up documentary RETURNING TO REIMS, based on the eponymous novel by Didier Eribon, which tells in archive images an intimate and political story of the French working class from the early 1950s to today. The film is narrated by Adèle Haenel (Portrait of a Lady on Fire, BPM).
